This site is managed by a past member of the GOLDEN AGE OF VARIETY show which takes place annually in Hamilton, Ontario. In March 2008, this group lost its original artistic director, VIRGINIA BINKO to cancer. Virginia was a gifted dancer & choreographer and a source of encouragement to any performer, young or old. I had the pleasure of working with her for just one show, but if it hadn't been for her faith in me, I would never have participated in that show which I now look back to with the fondest memories of my first and, possibly, last time on stage. Thank you Virginia.
Entertainers Ontario also mourns the loss of a dear friend, mentor & inspirations to so many young performers in the Hamilton region over the past 20 years. In May 2008, SHELAGH SNIDER of the THE PICTURE FRAME, passed away after a very long illness. Shelagh was instrumental in helping so many young singers and performers be recognized for their talents. Victoria Boland was one of those. It's thanks to Shelagh that Victoria achieved so much on the local Hamilton scene. Thanks Shelagh.
